Ireland – Day (off) 3

I wasn’t so sure about driving across the country and back in one day – 7 total hours driving on the wrong side of the road, but boy am I glad I did!

1

I climbed Croagh Patrick (The Reek), and it was as tough as any mountain in Colorado.  Actually, steeper with a more rugged, less improved trail.  The only advantage was it started at sea level, and it was only about 5 miles round trip!  The great thing about a mountain climb is it gives you time to think, and it makes you push through the pain while thinking about the “lesser” obstacles in one’s life.

6I was then able to spend the afternoon with my cousins in Moorehall, County Mayo.  They’re an absolutely wonderful family, and though I haven’t know them my whole life it feels like I have – and makes me feel close toe my grandma.

The students blogs have been great, and I think Alex’ wins the day!
